The Berkshire Economic Recovery Project (BERP) Technical Assistance Program is offering a free workshop on employee ownership for local business owners on Thursday, May 7, from 4 to 6pm.

The session, titled Exploring Employee Ownership, will be facilitated by Kevin Pink and will cover the range of employee ownership models available to small businesses — including worker cooperatives, employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs), and other transition structures.

Space is very limited, with each cohort capped at five to seven participants. Registration is required. The workshop is free of charge.

A second BERP workshop — Succession Planning for Small Businesses: Understanding Your Options and Preparing for Transition, facilitated by Robin Helfand — is scheduled for Wednesday, May 13, from 8:30 to 10am. Space is equally limited for that session.
